Just a heads up I have seen almost every snow bike with the GYTR head blow around here , supposedly they have fixed the problem, but no one here will have one again to much trouble to loose an engine in the middle of the season.

Not quite the same but i just installed (had installed) a cylinder works (vertex) cylinder and high compression piston on my bike. 13.5 I think. I did the cylinder because after adding up the piston, gaskets, etc. it was only a couple hundred more to get the complete cylinder kit. The stock cylinder and piston that came out looked really good but I didn’t measure anything. Bike has 99 hrs and hopefully I’ll get at least that much again this year. I didn’t realize it was only a single ring piston when I ordered it. Has me a little worried but too late now. Hopefully will be fine. Guess I’ll know more by next summer ?What was the issue I never heard anything about it? I can see the high comp single ring piston not being durable enough for a snowbike but basically the motor will be stock below the head.
M5
I also heard of a company that makes a replacement “tunnel top” cover for these monsters- can’t recall the name tho....?
If you ever want to make any more of those tunnel covers I would be totally interested. That's too notch m5
I guess I could get a custom wrap but looking at my 500's plastics it might be cheaper to tape $5 bills onto the bike and watch them get torn off on the trees throughout the day.
I, too, am digging on those tunnel covers. They look great.
If there is one good thing about the monstrosity that is the brake lever is that one really never needs it. I don't remember pulling mine once on Saturday
When you find yourself sliding down that steep tree line pushing like crazy with your right foot for a brake lever that isn’t there (even though your track is already locked up from your hand brake). You will be wishing that brake lever did a bit more. A locked up track is really no match for gravity. You might also think to yourself...hmmm maybe this is what those guys were talking about on that handguard thread
