I picked up a new sled this summer that was a spring only x model and was wondering what the stock gearing is on it. I have read on other posts that it has different gearing than a normal xp. I read that the x models come stock with a 21/45. The normal xp models come with a 19/45. I was just trying to clearify without doing what my manual says. "Ask your local dealer."

all xp 154's, 08 and 09, come with 21/45. The specs were listed as 19/45 last year for the 09 154, but were deliverd with 21/45.
Easy way to tell is to pull the little plastic plug out of the chain case cover and look in with a flash light. it will say in the sprocket right before bombardier. 21T or 19T.

Depends on the track length....163's are 21/49.
