I rode with my 509's today and I wasn't too impressed. They fogged and iced up to the point that I couldn't use them. Luckily I had my old Scotts in my backpack and was able to use those instead. I was so excited to use my new sinisters but they seem like they're a bigger pain than its worth just to keep them clear.

I like my 09 sinisters they have a softer face foam than my scott 89xi but the nose gaurd on the scotts is bigger and way better.

509 goggles

I LOVE MINE. I HAVE THE 09 SINISTERS WITH CHROME/YELLOW, AND THE SMOKE POLORIZED. THEY DID FOG UP ON ME WITH OUT THE NOSE GAURD BUT AFTER I PUT IT BACK ON THEY NEVER FOGED UP AGAIN.;) I LOVE THE FIT AND THE VEIW FROM POLORIZED LENS...

The fit is really good i like the lens also(yellow chrome)i have ridden 4 times with them now and have only had them fog on me one day so far.the day they fogged was on a day where it was snowing and raning back and forth all day long. But the rest of the rides were when it was below freezing and i didnt have a single prob.

They don't fit the klim f4, now the foam is coming apart, fogs all the time, 03rmking wouldn't warranty some defective chrome lenses that he said he'd cover. Never again for me

Wow, that couldn't be further from the truth. We haven't turned down a warranty claim yet. Tell ya what, PM me your email address or order number and I'll send you return instructions and we'll issue a full refund.

I had two pairs last year and they fogged on me quite a bit. I sold them after that. But I never checked to see if all the holes in the lens were fully open. Never even thought about it until after I sold them.

I thought about giving them another try or maybe the Aviators but since my Scotts work for me it's hard to justify the change. It would be interesting to see how the polarized lens works.

Sorry dude, I'm calling your BS. You said you'd replace the lens, I sent my info, no reply back. I've sent you a couple PMs since last feb, you didn't reply. I don't want anything from anybody, I've moved on, just sharing my experiance.

Say what you need to. I'm here offering to make it right.

I have an older pair of 509's and they use to fog up on me from time to time and usually when I would stop riding for a minute. Had to take them off as soon as I stopped to keep them from fogging.

This year I got a breath box for my open face HJC helmet and have had zero issues with them fogging up. No fog while riding, none when stopping. None ever. On top of that the combo of the breath box and the goggles fit great and leave little (if any) skin exposed. I wear a thin balclava on cold days to make sure no skin is exposed.

Now that they are working great for me I just have to decide if I want to buy a new set and keep the others as a back up or just buy new lenses to replace mine that have a few scratches in them now.

I have had great luck with mine not fogging near as much as the Scott's that I have. Biggest secret for any goggle for me seems to be immediately removing when I stop.

I found the 509's to be no different than any of the other dual lens goggles, however I don't like their lenses. With the chrome lenses they make the light very dark. When I went back to my Spy Blizzards it was like someone turned on the light switch. They were much better than the 509 chrome lenses. I won't be buying any more !

Different strokes for different folks. It's no different with gloves and such. I have the orig. 509's and I really like the clarity and do real well in low light. What I hate is the foam is too small. I have a set of habers coming, so we'll see how those compare.

2 months ago, I would have said they were just ok
I recenlty bought last years FLY Racing Renessance lid
i put the nose pice on the goggles and it fits over the wind deflector on the helmet perfect
absoltuley zer0 fogging, zero wind gets through ...... they r friggen mint!! LOVE THEM!

I carry 3 of the Sinister 509's and wear the Klim F4 and I haven't ever had to use the third set yet. I love them.

i have the habers with the eliminators...they fit fair to good..and work well...i just got my aviators from 509 and had them on while out for four hours yesterday...they fit very very good and not a hint of fog...and huge visibility..im very impressed....so i am very happy with my two selections..

For those that are having fogging issues with your 509's try popping an eliminator into them. They fit with the aviators and if you turn the middle plate upside down and screw it on that way will fit the sinisters too.

Was wondering when Spy would come up. Have owned them for years. Never had a problem, but also never used anything else.
