2009 rmk 700 dealer can't even fix it...

I am not a mechanic... More of hands on type of guy... I did rebuild my RM 250 (top end) And my RMK 700 top end... RM works flawless.

RMK 700 had the issue before I rebuilt the engine.

Why the question ?

No friends with a basic multi meter? Even if you put it on the tone setting and listen to it and hear if you have sound (continuity) through the full throttle sweep from idle to wot, that seems like a test you could easily do. Real slow movement and either watch resistance or listen to a tone.

Making JIS screws into junk

Once I have the tool, Multimeter, and TPS... Can someone guide me on How To remove the throttle body and set the new tps ? I can go live on Skype. Somebody that has been there and done that please ? Thankx !

Well the dead spot occurs at the same spot the Voltmeter drops... What is the Voltage spec for a CFI 2009 RMK 700 at WOT on the TPS ?

If your using an auto ranging meter, then change the setting from 0-4 volts to 0-40 volts, then it wont drop out.

From reading your posts, I dont think this is something you should take on your self. The TPS setting is the single most important adjustment on these sleds.

If you want more details on it, go into the Axys forum abd at the top of the page there is a tech link stick, there is a post about TPS adjustment. This will give you an idea on what your getting into. I will say replacing the sensor is much easier on your sled, but the adjustment part of it is much the same. Eric

Well that's why I wanted my dealer to help me with this issue... They failed... They only changed and cleaned parts. So the sled is not better off even after the dealer... I will be trying my best at it... Someone has to do it... I will be checking out the sticky link. Thank you !

you can use a dmm or the $$ gauge listed above. the best and simple way is use a cheap analog meter you can get from your local auto parts store for 10 bucks. the dmm will show it if you know what your looking for but the ALM will show it real easy.
