2009 RMK 700 COMPRESSION TEST

Got a 2009 RMK 700, 4550 miles on it.

MAG side was 102 psi and PTO side was 118 psi.

I know I am a bit outside the 10% difference between the cylinders.. But not by much..

What would you guys suggest I do..?

I'd re-check it first. And then again, check it with warm and cold engine, see if you still get that 16 p.s.i. diff.

Then pull the exhaust valve on the MAG side and look at piston scuffing

If there really is that much of a difference I would tear it down if it were me, that's nearly 20%, even though they say 10%, I personally look for a 5 p.s.i. diff between cylinders

If you haven't had the motor touched in all those miles, I'd get the top end rebuilt regardless. Its relatively cheap preventative maintenance. Ill have my 700 top end rebuilt by 4,000 miles for that reason.
