2009 or 2010??

Wait for the 2011 it will be better than the 2010. Fact of the matter is the 09M8 is the best sled on the market then all the sudden the 2010 has more HP so its he best sled. Remember it is the first year for that sled and that can lend itself to its own problems. Good deal on an 09 with a SLP pipe setup for 600 bucks and you are right there with the 10.
 
the 2010s seem like great sleds, with the new seat,pipe and motor. BUt I LOVE my 09 it hasn't givin me any issues. You could throw a SLP pipe kit and a 2010 seat on a 09 and you'd be close to a 2010...

It would also be lighter than the '10 too. The '10 M8 runs the M1000 pipe on it now, and that suit case is carrying a few extra pounds for sure. They are claiming the '10 sleds to be a little lighter than the 09's too though.
 
from what I have seen, the 09 M8 HCR's have more balls to them then the regular 09 M8's. I am guessing they had pre-'10 HO engines in them. Cant say for sure, but the extra jam they have seem like more than just a hotter race ecu program and some titanium stuff. I would try to find one of those.

But, a full warranty on a sled that has all the bolt on mods you would want on an 09 with a performance port job is worth the extra cash in my book. Sure you have to run 91 on the 2010 800HO's, but you would with that aftermarket stuff on there anyways.

if you can find an 09 HCR for a killer price do that, if there isn't much $ difference go 2010.

You can run regular fuel if you use a drop of syntek in the tank
