2009 M8 with slp single questions

Ok, I've heard so many different stories now about M8's and SLP single pipes and fuel modifications. DO I NEED A FUEL CONTROLLER ON A 2009 M8 SLP PIPE, CUSTOM AIR BOX, RIDING FROM 1000 (HOME)-9000 (MOUNTAINS). I don't want to hear about someone's brother inlaw's sled. I would like to hear from first hand experience, if this works, or what works the best.

Thanks for your time.

MIKE

1000 ft is pretty damn low.
pipe only, and assuming your fuel is good= no problem
throw in intake mods, and i would be worried at 1000ft.

I heard if you have any other intake besides an SLP intake or the stock one you should probably run a fuel controller. I have the SLP single pipe and the BDX intake, so I bought the PCV and am using racinstation's map for this setup. The sled seems to run pretty good

I'm in agreement with these guys. I would be a little worried at 1000 feet with any intake mod but the SLP.

hey

I'm ran the slp pipe kit and bdx intake for 800 miles, and everything was fine. 0-5000 ft. It runs alot better with stock intake, and slp intake though.

I run the SLP single pipe set in AK around 0-6000ft with the SLP intake and no fuel controller. No problems so far and Ive got 3200 miles on the motor. The last 1000 miles were with the pipe. Youll need to adjust your clutching a bit, but its a great mod. I can straight up spank a stock 09 with my 08 climbing in the pow.

What about the 2010's?

This has sparked my curiosity....I ride from sea level as well and would love to get rid of the damn bd box...is there anyone running a 2010 without fuel controler?
