2009 M8 owners

Use flashlite and watch the oil pump. if you let of the throttle slow you can see it sticking. Mine was sticking atleast 1/4 of the way open. I was using way more oil than my poo 700 did. Used the BDX oil injection delete.

Absolutely wicked sled. I just hit 1000 miles yesterday. The stock sled is great and a lot of fun and you don't need to put any mods in it.

If you want to play with mods and or personalize the machine the M8 will pay you back. I just put a D & D head/shim kit (changes port timing) and it let out the beast inside that engine. Scary fast/powerful, I would recommend that mod to anyone. Huge increase in mid range and the motor is very snappy.

The only problems I have had is the oil can melted and the cap didn't fit properly afterwards and my front rear shock lost or never had gas in it. Not a single other problem. My dealer is great and has made ownership easy.

I have an 09 M8 162 Sno Pro

Problems I've had are the oil pump check valve (blew oil into airbox when sled was sitting), broken wire on pipe temp sensor, and leaky seal on y pipe.

All these were fixed under warranty at around 980 miles.

Good luck otherwise. Happy with the sled. Would like to upgrade to a 2010 if the motors turn out to hold up.

Or maybe turbo my 09?

I have 1800 miles on mine mine ran perfect till a rock hooked the crossmember behind the engine and bent and cracked the bulkhead. On the way home it blew the belt cause that knocked the clutches out of alighnment that was the original belt. The dealer is gonna replace the entire bulkhead they have had it for months cat had no bulkhead in stock so i am waiting for them to build one. God only knows when i might get it. All i can say is make sure to get insurance saved my butt. $4700 to repair all i have to pay is $100
