2009 M1000 Twisted Turbo

I'm not talking about you arctic... I commend you for wanting to learn..

Why dont you head up this way and you can ride my sled and we'll take a look at yours before the snow is gone..

Jim

Dang, I was in your neck of the woods on Sunday. We rode the Roman Nose area. Again sled ran pretty darn good. Even with an attitude box. :)

Tuning every 250 rpms sounds like a pain in the ***, unless they come with pretty good starting settings. Do they come preset pretty close? Anyone running a Boost-It on a Push kit? That sucks that it can't pull fuel. That is my biggest complaint about the Dobeck box.

for the m1000 neils updated map is fairly close. There will always be differences from one machine to another, but for the most part probably no more than an hour or so of tuning initially, (depending on your tuning experience) then move the threshold as needed for elevation. The thing that is so nice is when you adjust boost up and down you dont need to adjust box again.

Questions:

If the boost it box only controls secondarys then will it fuel a m1000t or m1200t at 20PSI or more?

With drastic changes in elevation how does the boost it box compensate for this or do you have to manually adjust? Does it run the same at 10,000ft as it does at 5,000ft?

Boost it also says they leave the stock system alone and let it perform and only add fuel for boost. So why is this system an RPM based fueling system then?

Also does this system read the injector pulse of the stock system or does it operate solely on RPM?

Can you adjust the Fuel Curve of the Boost Circuit or is everything based off one RMP map?

Thanks in advance for the help.....

I will try to answer only what I think I can:

Not sure what highest boost can be ran yet, but we can test that if you let me try your four post primary soon:face-icon-small-win

I did notice when I came home that it does run different than at 8k+, I dont want to wreck my 3'' around here so when there is more snow I will try some more low 1000 ft testing and report. I tried neils recommended #'s for my low elevation and they were not working nearly as well as high elevation #'s. I'm confident I can get it to run well down low elevation too, just need more time. Collectively to date I have maybe 20 minutes of low elevation riding with it, It toke me longer than this to get it running great at 8k+ (novice tuner IMO) I noticed tuning that you need a decent load on motor to really get the map where it needs to be, not many hills here in MN to load this thing, so maybe someone in B.C. or AK can do a better job on this question?

It does use injector pulse and rpm.

You can adjust boost circuit with specific rpm trims, and you can add fuel even before boost comes on if needed. You just cant take fuel away from stock ecu map.
