2009 Denver Snow Show

The boobie booth was just like all the other retailers there. Last years crap and misfits for sale...

Seen this years models down at Delta Charlie's later that day...

The only thing I got out of my $$ for the show was that I think I may have let Shain (twisted Turbo) talk me into putting a turbo on my 1000.
Bastard.

Pretty freaking boring otherwise.

Might have sucked but...

Considering the economy and dealers going out of business, let alone the worst year of snowmobile sales in a long time.. I think we should be lucky we even had a show IMO.

I was expecting it to be much worse personally. Crappy day out.. but once I got in there and starting talking to everyone it got me pumped up for the season.

Not a vendor in that building that's making a ton of money that's for sure.
Give them a little credit for showing up and promoting our sport in CO in some pretty tough times.

Yes it was smaller than years past, but the economy sucks! We tried our best to make an apperiance even though our sponsor who gives us booth space, wasnt able to. We spent alot of money to be there, wish people would respect that!

rock on

Seems like it's time to move the show to a new location with better parking/swap meet. This is becoming more about the swap than the show anyway. It was a cluster out there today. National Western, Pepsi Center, JeffCo fairgrounds, Budweiser Events Center, lots of good choices around.

exactly. it was smaller this year and there still wasnt enough room. WTF? (plus the price goes up every year, it was only 5$ a couple of years ago to get in) I called diane the day before about security for the event because i was worried about camping and my sh$T getting ripped off before i sold it and she said there was no security so i decided to come down Sat AM.

I show up and the swap meet has a fence around it? WTF?

same thing every year, more guys in the parking lot scattered everywhere trying to sell there stuff than in the "actual" swap meet section. I wonder if they worry about the SM overpowering the inside so they downplay it...who knows. We should just organize our own on the same weekend in the matress king parking lot or someplace. that would get some attention.

I wont go back next year to try and sell, not worth the time...

You said it buddy! Thanks! We are from Wyoming and make it every year, even though most people down there ride the snowy's and dont think they need a guide service up here. I guarantee I can take you into places that nobody else goes! And there is riding to be found that people dont know about. Just wanted to thank you, for us it is more about making an apperiance and trying to make the show more fun, we dont sell much there, but the sales from it add up eventually! Did anyone besides the vendors notice there was 10 feet between each booth that is normally another booth? We bought the last 2 boothes available a month ago after our sponsor Maverick Motorsports told us they wouldnt be there.

From a vendor standpoint, the show was great! Generated more business than Hay Days even. So thank you Denver and everyone who walked away with a 509 item. We'll see you next year.

I can't believe the amount of vendors that made the long trip to Denver. I talked to a few from Washington--Klim guys and XXX mod guys--and they seemed to be glad they came. I rented my booth just a week before and they claimed that there was "only a couple of booths left"---ha. They could have fit a bunch more... Anyway, it was fun to be there, and got a couple of great deals, but it was definitely smaller than I expected.. Although I'm used to the MI show that is literally 4 to 5 times as big....but I guess its the biggest. I'll be back for next year though!

We definitely had a better show than we were expecting. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and said hi.

I want to thank all the vendors for coming it is a huge expense to come and set up. But it is you who kicks off our season. May have a chance to go to the Salt Lake show to compare. If your concerned about the swapmeet how about putting on just a swapmeet?

Thanks you everyone.....

Braap Wraps says "Thank you" to all who stopped by the booth and talked graphics!

Yes, it is a tough economic time and the show may have been a bit smaller but, the Denver show is drawing some great "out of town" vendors and still having a show despite current conditions is far better than no show. (Booth space is not getting cheaper either)

Keep the faith everyone.........next year will be even better.

We think all of you sledders are great!!

Thanks again and have a great, safe season.

Pepsi Center is expensive, although this time of year they don't have much going on. National Western nad Budweiser would be fine for parking. Pepsi would suck for parking, I honestly don't know much about Jeffco. Budweiser is a long way to go for a lot of people. I know it makes it closer for some people but everyone coming from Western Slope it will add about another 45-1 hour.

I like the Merchandise mart because it helps them keep cost down, it already wasn't full so no need to move to a larger more expensive venue, it is also centrally located in Denver and there is actually a lot of (FREE) parking.

I ran the HaberVision Booth on Saturday and honestly we did really well. Sunday I wasn't there but from what I heard was much slower.

Thanks for everyone that came out or stopped by the booth. I didn't really get to check out many other booths because we were so slammed, but I was able to stop by and sign the petition to stop Hidden Gems.

Crooked Teeth boobie was holding down the electric mountain lodge booth. I thought the swap parking was hilarious. 10 24 footers backing up at the same time.
