2009 Arctic Cat Snowmobiles!

look out doo!!

wow......

rode both 09's m10 and m8 snopro today.
the m8 is 24lbs lighter than last year, and you can feel the difference.

out of the box, the m8 is flawless. new tail is sweet, love the running board change and the free boss seat is cool. the handle bar's raise in a blink of eye, really simple and neat design.

unfortunately it snowed sideways all day, 2-3 inches per hr with 30-40mph winds...visiblilty=none..

Z1: 1100 twin cylinder 4-stroke turbo.........

Did I miss something this last year or is this a new motor for 09?

I guess I don't follow Cat much, so this could have been around and I did not even know it........

Isn't anyone concerned that there is no extra HP for this year? AC isn't plutting the weight or HP numbers on their website. So it seems that it 2009 brings a Boss seat and new paint job. I do like the Fox Float option though.

Been ponderin what new sled I should get for me and I think there just might be a M1000 LE 162 in the trailer next season. Really like the new improvements like the rear skid and the telescoping handlebars. think its funny though how everyone bashed Poo for adjustable handlebars and now cat has them and they are awesome.

I hope I can round up enough $$$ for one next year ...

I was planning on sno-checking an M1000 SnoPro but I gotta try to figure out if I'll actually have enough money to buy it when it comes in next season, haha ...

On Maximumsled.com they said that the telescoping handle bars had 4" of adjustment. They would go 3.25" higher then last year, and .75" lower then last year. The telescoping handle bars are completly different then Polaris was. They don't move forward or backwards. They move up and down. I think it is cool because it will fit to a wider rage of riders.

How tough will they be? I could see myself dropping a cornice or going off a jump and breaking my $480 handle bars  that will piss me right the hell off

What's wrong with them breaking off? It would make a nice place on the sled to impale yourself.

In all seriousness, from those that have seen the new handlebar setup, how does it look? I assume it works like a bike seat adjustment with one tubular section sliding in/out of a larger/smaller tube. I wonder how much strength is lost by having it adjusted all the way to the top. Being 6'2", I'm not sure if 3.25" is going to be enough so I'm still stuck having to buy a small riser for a perfect fit.
