2009 600 RMK mountain clutching?

Hey I'm taking my sled into the mountains for the first time and i am looking for some advice on clutching. I Normally ride in Saskatchewan and have the 62 Gram weights in and i seam to be having no issues. From the factory my sled came with the 58 Gram weights, do you think this would be a wise choice for riding in Golden? I just weighed in my new 58 Gram weights and they all weighed in at 59.0 grams on a calibrated digital scale, will this be an issue? Would you suggest changing my spring from the factory one?

Looking for some opinions

thanks in advance guys

I would suggest you put the 10-58 weights in your primary and ride . It will work well as I have the same sled and that is all I do for my 600. It is not an 800 but you sure can have lots of fun and will sharpen your riding skills .

600 clutching

Not sure your alt. but shoot for 8200 rpm or so stock, then have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah the 600 should keep me out of trouble, that is exactly what I'm looking to do this season is work on my skills and I'm sure the 600 will be making me work out there! What do you think about those weights weighing in at 59.0 each?

Thanks for your opinion

i am from sask as well, we go to bear lodge in wyoming every year and i have a 2008 rmk 600. I run 56gram weights but we ride mostly in 8000+ feet there. Last year my sled was maxing out at 8150 or so. You could try the 58gram but if they are weighing 59 now might you be a bad idea to take along 56's.

Here is the link to what team industries recommends for setups. I have found it to be very good. Scroll down a few pages to get the TSS-04 specs instead of the tied. What altitude will you be riding at?6-9000ft they are saying to use a 56/38-.36 helix.

As for the 58g weights not weighing 58g. I doubt your 62's weigh 62 either. OEM stuff just seems to be off. If you buy standard weights go aftermarket like Team for example. I would run the 59's. Who is to say that isn't the perfect weight anyway until you try them.
