2009-2010 Valemount Conditions

hahaha, yes, fishing has been great ! The kokannee are getting active so that means the bull trout come out to play. And with the salmon up,and the bull trout in a feeding frenzy, it all adds up to my favorite fishing season:D

I cant wait for winter either folks, sitting on the sled making vroom vroom noises is getting very old.

Some good news going on around here, I worked on a grant project throughout this summer and we are now in the process of brushing out
44.5km of trails in our area. Chappell, Oasis, A few sections on the Clemina bush trail (paralells the road) The family loop, keyhole access from the Clemina lot and a bit in Horsey Creek. This is a $50,000 project and should really improve access to these areas.

Look forward to seeing you all soon.

Coming fishing and drinking there sept long!!!! Stag party!!! Stoked it will be good to spend a weekend there in the fall. Roe fly patterns on a sink tip should work well for them bullies! That is sweet to here about the trail work you guys are getting done. It will make your great riding zones even better!

I really hope this goes threw! its always nice to have a quick and easy trail in.
thanks,
mike

also curtis the clemina road was upgraded, widened in spots and smoothed nicely for construction was it not?

should make a better base for grooming to last!!!

The Brushing project is already in progress

Re Clemina yes, it was worked on a bit by canadian hydro.

BUT things will have to be a bit different in clemina this year. The fellow that has that shack off the trail at 3km says he is going to try and plow the road this winter for some reason:confused: So we are clearing the paralelling trail and will have to groom the trails instead of the road until 4km, but this will get guests trained for the time Canadian Hydro does work in the winter time, which is most likely next season.

We are also working on flattening the first 3km of the Allan trail as it has permanent woops.

Lots of progress around here, some things may seem small, but they all take a lot of preparation and work
