I am looking at buying a 2008 Polaris 800 RMK 163. Are there any known issues or concerns I should know about... Please any advice will be appreciated!!:noidea:

Search is your friend... big time on this engine and this particular year...

In brief, significant engine problems, can be addressed by various methods such as the "fix kit" from pmspolaris / mtntek.

My "fix" was to buy a good used 860 Carls. :-)

Not buying 2008 800 RMK

I can't blame you. I had an 08 800 dragon and it was trouble free for me for quite a few miles once the 2010 update was put in, but the update (pistons etc.) was put in by my local dealer who is pretty good at setting these sleds up right, last time I talked to them they said putting pro rmk pistons in the dragons tightens up the clearance.

Having owned an 08 XP 800, I would have to say if you don't plan on carving it is a great sled... I know some can get them to carve but not me, not that sled anyway, sold it and found a Dragon 800 for cheap and was really happy with it for years. Spring 09 to Fall 12... including spring bowl riding in heavy snow lots of WFO... and if you can get one cheaper, you can afford to throw a fix kit in it and have a great sled.
