so if ur selling ur sc apex for a tnytro which will b ur boondocker?
none!!! I can do both just fine on my turbo sled though I will admit it does take a ride or two to get used to the turbo vs. the sc!!! Once you go turbo you never go back.

mpi & bd both advertise rods & pistons for the nytro & alpine motorsport in canada i beleave was looking into the same stuff.i got my vec parts from simon cpr iam sure he will carry the nytro stuff too you just have to see who has already got the parts stocked.
How much money we talking for the pistons and rods?

well a nytro rod is longer than a apex rod so i would say the nytro would be the weaker.i heard rumors of yammi making the nytro rod stonger but dont know for sure.
You would sure think yami is building everything for the turbos these days wouldn't u?

all yamaha did was "improved heat treating" on piston pin area. not smart running a turbo nytro with out a rod upgrade.
Paul at Impulse turbo has already finished his motor and has a several hours on it already.
He is a great guy and he knows what he is doing, I would not hesitate to get some advise from him before spending the money to build a motor.

Got the 10:1 pistons for $185 and the rods for $313 a piece from outlaw. Might as well do the springs also.

FX Nytro Pistons/rods
I spent 2 weedends on dyno and run the hell out of my own sled.
Have run it up to 17 PSI boost.
Dynoed at 287.4 HP at 14 PSI boost all with stock motor but with cam timing and head spacer. Dynoed a few hundred feet above sea level! Above freezing in shop with doors open
Very safe if you are running proper A/R, Fuel, RPM, etc.
1000 KMS on pump gas and 12 psi boost at 270 HP in the mountains.
A few miles of higher boost at 15 at high altitude 4000=7000 ft
