what caused that??? im using air density thing cuz ebc isn't in yet
600 miles on turbo trouble free was a little warm outside today is the only difference. the other piston and cylinder looks good
still running but whoa!!! both spark plug straps are gone!!

esso 91 octane around 6000 feet and the boost i dont have a clue how to control it all i got is the boondocker box i think it said 7.1 psi somewhere when i scroll through menu
 
Detonation! You control it through better fuel, lower compression, or lower boost. Check your max boost. If you are running 8 lbs or more you better be mixin in some race gas.
 
ok i gotta change that piston and get the cylinder replated, should i do the other side?? looks good
 
depending on boost, you can run a 50/50 mix of av gas and premium. Since av gas is only about $1.40/L why not run it straight?

At 50/50 you should be safe to about 8psi, and with straight 100LL you should be safe to 9-10psi MAX.
 
OEM. You are probably fine to just replace the one side if you only have 600 miles. I however would do both together if you have the time and cash to do it.
 
doing 1 is fine but i weight them to make sure they r balanced,hone the 1 cly. and throw rings at it. run 50/50 or all race gas also
 
Am I missing something, you don't know how to control boost? There is a boost controller on the sled isn't there. You need a good dealer or friend to help you learn a turbo. I looks to me like det with high charge tube temps. after seeing and dealing with this kind of thing I would pull the motor and flush the case. or have dealer split the case for debris.
 
BD box

I do not think that every one get how important it is to understand the functions of the Box.

Duty Cycle represents how much fuel the stock injectors can deliver. the following is a good reading if the DC out is reading 99 you are running out of fuel. Meaning no matter what you do the main injectors can not deliver more fuel. So race fuel will not fix this.

Pressing SEL, Up-Arrow, or Down-Arrow from the Run screen will go to the next Stats screen which is the Max
screen, displaying max RPM, Duty Cycle In from the sled’s ECU, and Duty Cycle Out to the injectors.

would it hurt it if i put race or av gas and keep boost at 7 psi? i mean does it matter if you put high octane gas and run it even without turbo!

I recommend that you run 2 gallons at least just to maintain good fuel on any mod sled.
