2008 M1000 Re Flash ????? Is it good???

I thought there was a thread on here before where people were having some issues with there sleds once they did the re flash ??? Some people said they could not run a can? some guys blew there motor i did not do mine as it runs just fine right now


Should I????? I want to keep my can on.

Don't. Mine ran horrible after the latest reflash.

I would see if you can get all of the exhaust shields though. They are like the 09s.

unless you have warranty, don't do it!!! I have warranty still and had to do the reflash and I hate it. had to spend $500 on a fuel controller to get it to run good. was trying to keep this one stock for trouble free riding but it ain't stock now.

The best M1000 programming, especially for light mods and a BD box, was the original 2007 programming. They got worse and too overprotective on each reflash since.

I have had the oposite experience as others.
I had a great running STOCK sled with modded stock hood intake only... Stock can, etc. No change to airhorn or airbox.
Like I said, it has always run great.
After the reflash I beleive it is even better... Differing from others I seem to get better fuel mileage, better throttle response and mid range pull... No noticeable difference on the top end.
I beleive that some modded sleds, or even just adding certain parts of the kit and not adding other parts in the kit can effect how your sled runs.
The reflash seems to be love/hate.
A lot here seem to hate it... I beleive Mountain Magic had positive things to say about it as has been my experience.

for the love of god man DONT DO ITi did it i had the 07 mapping and it went down hill from there when i went to the 09 mapping i could not pull enough fuel in the mid with the box i was running to get it to run right and i think they dropped the timing back in 09 as well.it just does not have the power that the 07 map did
