2007 ski-doo summit X risers

Im going to buy a 2007 ski-doo summit soon and im going to change the risers once i get it. And i cant decide what ones to get either some risers with handle bars allready on them from skinz protection that are way sweet or go with the normal risers like the fly racing ones. Any advice?

I just put a 10" Ski-Doo riser block on mine. Works and Looks good I think. Easy install for sure. Didn't have to move any cables.

look smart, work well, no need to readjust anything with 10" ones i put on.
Oh and they are bomb proof. Rolled my pickup truck (3/4 diesel crewcab) with the sled on the deck. the bars bent in two spots and broke in another spot, but not even a nick on the riser!

how tall was your stock riser when you changed them? and u didnt have to change the cables or the brake line?

I believe the stock riser measures 6.5" and the next one up form ski-doo measures 8.5" for a total of 2" higher. This was done with no rerouting of any lines or cables. You may be able to go a bit higher by rerouting lines without extending them.

Powermadd black 10 inch riser

Initially, I thought I was going to have to get throttle and brake extensions. But after taking things apart, all you have to do is cut the zip tie holding the brake line, and reroute the brake line in behind the plastic pull rope handle and the oil tank. The throttle cable is rerouted and is plenty long, 10 inch powermadd riser fits right in and bolt on 30 minute job and makes night and day difference. Riser costs about 50 bucks.
