Turbo
A turbo can run on pump or race gas. When people talk about pump gas turbo's all they are doing is turning the boost way down and running it on pump gas (i.e running it around 6 to 8 lbs of boost). With race fuel you can run it up to 16 lbs of boost. The race fuel helps cool things and burns slower. I like to run mine around 13 lbs of boost on 110 octane race fuel. I get all the power I want plus I am not sweating bullet hoping I don't burn it up.
I have friends that are running the boondocker pump gas turbos on there 800 but just running 6 to 8 lbs of boost. My 600 will run with them on any hill.
I am looking at selling mine to help pay for Helicopter school.
When I build another one I will see were turbos are at that time and make a decision. The diffrence between 8 or 10 lbs of boost and 15 lbs are amazing.
