2007 rmk 600 dash brake light always on

Please help im stumped on this one, brake light on the dash stays on dont matter if i pull brake lever or not , and when i pull the brake lever the high beem indicator flickers, any ideas??

Check the wiring harness that runs under the tank and back to the light. Seen it where that gets rubbed through and causes the light to stay on.

Does the tail-lite work? I've also seen a burnt element that is laying across the contacts in the bulb cause this.

Easiest thing first, replace the tail-light bulp.

everything works properly, but the tail lights are L.E.D. not element bulb so that means they are not stock i take it. I will pull tank and check all wires for bare spots, thanks.

Running a LED on the same sled and have the same problem. We have tried everything and I have just gotten use to the light being there.

does your indicator light ever work properly with the led tail light?

The light stays on because there aren't enough amps to shut the indicator off. These setups usually need a load resistor, or buy the LED adapter from Bluhm or SLP.

that's exactly what I tought. A led don't have the same resistance than a normal bulb. I've seen similar problems on cars : if you replace your tail light bulbs by leds the cruise control no longer works. That's because the cruise control reads the resistance from your tail lights to know when to disengage.

Do you got the LED adapter on your taillight?
I had the same problem on my 07D7RMK until I got the SLP adapter.

I have a similar problem. But if I barely touch the brake lever, the light goes out. Once I pass that spot, it comes back on. Not sure if yours is similar or not
