2007 cfi 600 switchback

I have a chance to pick up one of these for $4500 (CDN). It only has 2000 miles. It's in good shape, no dents, bruises etc.

I recently got rid of my 800 cat as it was getting long in the tooth and I now live nowhere close to a cat dealer. I live close to a reputable polaris dealer so I am thinking of going this way.

I don't need an 800 anymore as I have slowed down a little (age, kids). I have done a lot of reading and these seem like a reliable sled. It has the 1.5 track which I would have put on regardless. I have read about boots delaminating and causing an air leak, does anyone know of other problems?

I have always been on cats and I don't want to change but the dealer is over 250km's away. I have read a hundred horror stories of the 800 engine and I am hoping this isn't the same for this engine. I am at only 1500 feet and need something for a little trail riding, a little playing, a little fishing etc.

Great Sled..

Just keep up on the Maintance.. you'll get over 5k on it with out touch inside of engine..

Things to do.. every 500 - 1000 miles

Grease Suspension..

Clean Power Valves

Change fuel filter every year..

Watch belt.. change when getting bad!

Tighen Track..

Each ride..

Fill Oil..

Fill Gas And ride!!

I have had two of these sleds

Both have been great..

i would put on side kicks.. Scraters on it to keep it cool and less wear or slides..

my .02

Great motor. My current motor has 7k on it (rebuilt top end at 5900) and its always been gas/oil go. Plugs every year at the star, fog it at the end. Lots of power for the chasis (mine is also a rmk so 144 with 2 inch paddle). If you can pick it up man, wont regret it.
