my sled has been in the shop eight times, 07 800r 159,last time got an 08 motor, all up dates to the up dates, still runs like crap! hits 8300 in the deep pow and back to 7000 within a few seconds on the flats, all stock except a can. best snow year in 15 years, the biggest pos i have ever owned.......

I was wondering when were your sleds made? Cause I wonder if the earlier sleds or just part of the sleds were bad, mine was produced later in the year of 2007, and havent blew a belt in over a 1000 miles and it still runs and performs flawless. It seems some of these 2007 X models run great and then some run horrible. Ive read reports of both on this site, just trying to figure it out.

i have the same sled, runs alright, same problems as the rest however i have had it in the shop 4 time this year hasn't cost me a dime, i refuse to pay for someone elses mistakes. alos have gone though 4 belts again all on warrenty. Still no solution i have taken it to 2 different shops, main problem with mine is i heat up belts more then ever. i can hold 8300 rmp i just ajust clickers accordingly and when the belt goes take it in ranting and get warrenty
sucks that u guys r having troubles - my 07 800r was a later one (doesn't have the 'R' stamped on the motor though) and it runs better than anything i've seen on snow.

All you guys with intermittant performance on the 07 800r's-------->PUT A THERMOSTAT IN IT.
I have said it a million times Dave.......they never listen. Apparently its more fun to have your sled in the shop then spend 50$. ...shrug...
Your stock one just needs a slight modify to accept the TS. Turbo AL at sledshed.com

Picked this sled up with low miles. Runs strong, handles well...................AUGERS like a Ditch Witch. Lookin to change out tracks...going to a 16x159x2" has been recommended. Anybody have a success to share on a track swap.

Camoplast #9941....best all around track for the hills, will turn it into a MUCH better sled.
thanks for the input the 9920 is what was recommended. most of my riding is steep and deep
Then I'd get the 9941......2.3" lugs vs 2".

Its especially hard to find the X package track at a reasonable price because nobody sells them used lol
