Ok, so I bought a 2006 summit x last year with 400 miles on it. I have reoccurring problems that I thought someone might be able to help me out with.
The only mods I have done to the sled is put a can on it. I ride in Montana usually around 7000-8500 in elevation.
1) The bolts that hold the exhaust y pipe to the motor keep coming out. Its so annoying.
2) After I ride, stop (I let the rpm's come down) and shut it off I get one loud back fire like a gun being shot.
3) After riding I go to start the sled and it starts sometimes on the second pull most of the time on the 5-6 pull and my rpms are real low for a few a few seconds. So low the lights and beeper dont even flash and beep till i give it a little gas. Should I be thinking about changing out my needles and pilots?
4) The sled also seems to fowl plugs quite often. Usually during the start up sequence. If I dont get it started in the first few pulls, time to change the plugs.
Any advice is greatly appreciated on these topics are any other mods I can do to make the sled run better. Clutching, pipe, reed values......
Thanks
