2006 F350 6.0 / auto hubs no workey !

My pickup is old and getting warn out too (2000 F350 PS with 170,000). Auto hubs don't work but is there any negative mechanical issue with leaving them locked all of the time on trips even if you are out of 4wd a good portion of the time? That's what I've been doing but always wonder if it's binding anything at highway speeds.

Good question - someone will chime in with more knowledge than myself on this !! I had a truck with manual hubs a few years back and when I left them locked in , I noticed more of a humming noise at highway speed vs. them being out.
