Im in the market for a new truck, i like the Dodge Megacab 2500 automatic SLT package. Leather, Ht Seats,and DVD and so on. It is white and has 89k on.
The other is an 08 HD duramax 4dr white leather, 6inch lift with Mazzo 20 wheels wrapped around Toyo mts. They are asking $21,000 for the dodge mega, and the HD will be $26,000. For those of you that have owned one truck or the other. Give me your opinions (Good and Bad) Thanks

I'm a Dodge Guy but hate all leather seats up till new model Dodge. Great motor though and seems like a killer price. But what's the miles on the d Max? That's a whole lot of pickup for the price in my opinion. Both are very dependible and sound like they are decked out.

$21k for a Mega w/ 89k miles on it is a steal unless it's beat up.
They go for closer to $30k around here still.

5.9l was the best motor Cummins made for Dodge. Keep the fluid in the transmission fresh.

the '08 will have more power...newer=more power...any brand, they are always close. the mega cab is more than nice, it would be hard to turn down for that price. but...you also have a good deal available on the '08 chev. (depending on mileage)
I really don't think you could go wrong. And this is coming from a dodge guy, I own a 5.9 and a 6.7.

I have an 06 with 102000 miles. Still runs awesome. The 48re auto tranny is built for stock power. And will run perfect till u start putting mods on it. Leave her stock and u should be good for at least 150k. As for the 06 model year the one glitch with that truck is the tac. Mine went bonkers at 50000 and now pretty much doesn't work. I've talked to people who have replaced everything from the sending unit to the entire instrument cluster with no fix. Just seems to be th qwerk of the 06.
