2006 Apex Steering issues

I have an 06 Apex and it is pretty tough to steer in slow speed situations. I've done everything trying to find out why it is so tough. My wife has the same exact sled, suspension, skis, setup... except hers is an 07. I have a few friends that have 07's in various stags of suspensions and setup and there's are much easier to steer.

Mine has never been wrecked or damaged and it did it with the stock front suspension and with the Bark Buster setup. I've changed all the bearing blocks but it's still tough to steer.

Any ideas?

Any chance it could be hanging up on the boots right behind the a arms Mine get pretty stiff when its really cold so i always keep them lubed up with a good grease. Sometimes they will hang up and compress the boot

I had a similar condition on my '06 Apex and found that the bushing at the top of the steering column was all gummed up inside. The bushing I reference is at the top of the shaft running along the steering gate (not the steering post), behind the brake rotor. There is a metal collar with three bolts that hold the white plastic bushing over the steering column. I had my fuel tank out to replace the exhaust bushings so it was easy for me to disassemble and clean. Another bud simply sprayed lubricant inside the bushing repeatedly to flush the crud out and his freed up nicely too.
