2005 RMK 900 rebuild

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FUEL PRESSURE. IF YOU DISCONNECTED THE FUEL LINE YOU WILL HAVE TO PRIME THE SYSTEM. MAYBE? BAD KILL SWITCH?:face-icon-small-sho

So I figured it out I had good fuel pressure it was the TPS sensor. it would start if I gave it gas but would die when it tried to Idle. then the head lights started to flash on then off then on...... after reading a bit on here it is a common problem with the TPS I tested mine and couldn't get it to adjust properly. got a new one on the way we will see once I get it and adjust it and get it in. :face-icon-small-con

I hate to say it... but you should probably part it out.

They are very nice machines, but with the engine issues you have, you will be into it for around $2500 (doing most of the work yourself) , above the cost of the sled, once you get everything dialed-in.

For that, plus what you get in parting her out.... you should be able to find a nice shape 600 or 700 2007/08 RMK that you can run the snot out of with no real work needed.

I love the 900's, but the honest "kick in the shins" is that these things are $$ to fix the right way.

My 2 cents.

Depends on your level of pain $$$ tolerance..Great sled, could find used motor install and sell running or part out or sell chassis complete for more than you traded!!
Decisions....Decisions

How much do you think i could get if i tried selling the whole chassis? it has a good track and the hood and panels arent all scratched up. the only problem with the chassis is that all the RideFX shocks are blown

Hmm that's looking great.... I like it but what works you done on it? have to rebuild it completely? because you didn't mention the work list which you done on this snow mobile. but really its looking good. Thanks for sharing.
