2004 summit x 159 track swap

I've got a 159 track and want to swap to 162. I have Mtn machine big wheel kit which will allow me to extend the rails to accomodate the 162.
1. What pitch should I go to?
2. I would like to go with 2.5 inch lugs
3. What tooth sprocket would I have to use for tunnel clearance?
Any other suggestions?

159 conversion to 163

What is the benefits of switching from standard Skidoo pitch whatever that is to the 3in pitch? Correct me if I'm wrong, but in order for me to go with 2.25 lug height, the current stock Skidoo 9 tooth drive sprockets will be to large in diameter causing tunnel rub? 8 tooth 3in pitch works?

skidoos 9 tooth 2.52 pitch will allow a 2.25" track...I've got a good used very low millage 159 I am looking to sell, it's the powder max, not the crappy challenger lite. Call/text if you're interested, 763 238 1292

Thanks rev rider

Thanks for the offer of the 159, I'm wanting to go up to 163. Good to know I can keep the stock 2.56 9 tooth sprocket and run a 2.25 inch lug, but lets say I want to go to 2.5inch lug? What pitch? And what sprocket? Thanks

2.5 lug requires the 7 tooth 3.0 pitch set-up.

Dropping down to a 7tooth sprocket, 3 inch pitch, how much does that change my gearing? I've got stock gears in chaincase. Would I have to change a gear to keep it similar to what it is now?
