2004 RX1 121" How big track will work

They say not to lengthen the 121 mono shock skid as it changes the intended geometry and may not work correctly or cause premature failure of parts. With the stock 9T drivers you can squeeze a 1.75" in there but most run 1.5" If you go down to 8T drivers 2.52P or 7T 3P you can go up to 2.5" track. I would suggest getting an M7 skid and install that, some 8T drivers, then your track lengths and heights are pretty much limitless.

I think I have some around some place. I am not sure on the 121 tunnel has the holes from the mountain suspension drilled but if it does, mounting is simple. Better approach angle, lighter weight, etc. Otherwise there are numerous threads on it especially on totallyamaha.com I am running the 141 cat skid with 153x2.25 track.

do you have a picture

How long are you planning on going??
If you're not going more than 151, I'd use a ZR or Crossfire skid with extensions...these skids fit into an RX tunnel in exactly the same front to back position as they do in a Cat (the M skids have to be 'pulled back'). The sled's handling not affected as it is with an M skid going this route. I used a Crossfire skid and all I had to do was relocate the front Yamaha stiffeners in the tunnel and the rear drop brackets were almost perfect for the Cat TSL arms (just re-drilled the holes in the brackets without moving them)

Yes if you are not going any longer than 144 you will defeat the purpose of installing an m-series skid. I am not familiar with a crossfire skid install.
