T Tonka1020 Member Lifetime Membership Dec 27, 2013 #2 Risers Typically you will want to extend them to avoid issues later like a kinking or rubbing your throttle cable. You more then likely can get by without extending them for a weekend ride or something. It's just not quite "right"!
