2004 REV...loves its gas!

Stock 2004 motor running 410's in the mains. Can get around 40 miles before its time to fill up...ouch! (Not on a super deep day, we're talking about relatively hardpack snow, but not trail riding) Any ideas? There are no leaks in the tank or fuel lines. Tank is a factory 10.6 gallon tank. Riding around 6,500-8,000ft. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm having a same problem with my 07 800R. It is very thirsty.

I have checked and cleaned the DPM solenoid but does not seem to solve the issue. The dealer is suggesting the TPS but not 100% certain. It's a friggin $200 part and not sure if I should go ahead and replace it.

yep, my 07 summit x is thirsty mo-fo! In a group of 10 people this weekend, they all had a little under a 1/2 tank left and I had about 1/4 (granted, I was heavy on the throttle all day but not THAT heavy)

my 04 800 has 400 mains for sea level and the manual calls for 300 mains for the high elevation 6000-9000. What type of mods are done to the motor?? 410 at higher elevation????? seems rather strange.. Also, what gearing are you running??

All you guys just keep the flipper pinned more than the rest of the group!

I was certainly wondering if the jets were a tad big...hum?

Running a 100% stock motor with "The Thing" can on it. Gearing is at 19/43 on a 144" track.

In the same boat as the others that were mentioned above. I ran OUT of gas and others had around 1/3 of a tank left.

Pretty sure I wasn't really throttle happy. Yeah, I pinned it when I had to but not much more than my buddies.

Going to replace the TPS as suggested by the dealer. I'll keep you posted after I take it out this weekend.

Wow thats bad. My 04 151 stock does about 65 miles and still has 2 gallons in the tank, give or take. 400 mains, 19-45 gearing, 2200-6000 feet. I ride the pee wadin out of it , great sled. Dino

My gearing is 22/45 with a 121 x 1.75 track. Don't check milage as that is not why I bought it or set it up the way it is. Stock gearing on mine was 26/45. Seemed rather slugish, but got 110 miles to a tank. Now, maybe get 60~70 to a tank.

To completely fill the tank you have to burp the tank by having someone sit on the tail to let the gas fill up the back of the tank. There can be one gallon of space in the tail.

My 04 was loosing mileage and some performance. I found the spring cap bushing in the primary worn which cocked the primary shive on the shaft not allowing the shive to move freely. After further inspection, the bushing in the shive was also warn which ultimately jammed the shive and the clutch would not go into neutral.
