2004 arctic cat engine ?

I have a 2004 1m 900 efi. Last winter one of the pistons came apart. To rebuild it I would need a new jug, new connecting rod. I'm not sure what the crank case looks like. Would it be better, cheaper to just buy a used motor from somewhere? Just looking for an easy out.

a remaned crank is about 800 and the jug is about 200 and pistons are 135.00 you can find a used motor for about 1500.00 but yours has to be efi the bottom case is efi only. so this puts you cheaper to buy used unless you can wrench on it yourself. i have found a few stock sleds on ksl.com or Craigs list for about 2500.00 you can pull the motor and part the rest of the sled and come out a little cheaper.

Or, part out your chassis and start over with any sled you want.
