2004 800 ves engine-complete

im parting out my edge so i can get a new sled. so heres the motor. 800 ves, less than 500 miles on rebuild with replated cylinders, spi pistons, crank with big bearing, slp 6-9k head. the VES valves have new orange springs and bellows, ill sell with the carbs and VF3 reeds and with indy specialties motor plate for $100 more. im looking to get $1800 obo pm me if interested

500 mile is just about how long you get out of SPI pistons. If you had Polaris pistons in it may be worth it. Did you use the Polaris metal base gaskets?
who did the big bearing for you? did you use Polaris crank seals?

Willing to sell the oil pump. I assume since it's an 04 it has the number 18 stamped on the throttle connection arm.

Did you mean 5000 miles on spi pistons? Because that is what I have on mine in my 03' 800. Still have the same compression on both cyls???? I'm just sayin! Besides it is a pretty sporty thing to bash ones items for sale, pretty classy there fella......

Lets see this is a forum where one expresses one opinion.
this motor has $59.00 pistons instead of $151.00 Polaris pistons (the best pistons made) and he asking $1800.00 for this motor. You can buy them all day long on Ebay $1300.00 to $1400.00. I am not bashing i am stating a fact here. To save less than $200.00 to rebuild a motor does not make any since to me, But when I rebuild them I stand behind them so I use the best. If this motor was at $1200.00 it would be worth it IMO.
