2003 ski doo summit 700 lights not wworking

My lights or gauges dont light up so I went to NaPa auto parts and got new part from them but still not working, could it be defective or wrong part, when I noticed lights were out tonight and I was watching it running the lights did come on for 30 seconds but went off again and still no front or rear lights or gauge lights... What to do? lights came on and off temporarily with original relay before I tried new part

Could be a short in your main harness somewhere. I would check your harness for any areas that could be rubbing on metal, either the frame or engine. Could also be a voltage regulator. Although usually when they go bad they begin to spike and actually blow out your headlight bulbs by putting too much juice to them.

there is a relay for the lights change it and shoild work fine...

(ok ok so i didnt read the complete post just skimming i guess does not work sometimes mtnpull thanks for catching it)
