2003 RMK 800 clutch issue

Tried to take my 2003 rmk 800 out today and the clutch would not engage the belt. It is like when you take off the belt loose. I can actually just slip it off as if I had used the tool to do so. Not sure why it is so loose?

Kinda lost on what to start investigating on this one? Suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks.

So, the secondary clutch is not squeezing the belt? Is it the Team clutch or the button clutch? Either way, it sounds like it needs to be taken apart to see whats up.

Ya, that sounds about right. Not sure type. Can look tomorrow if it says on it somewhere. Are they fairly basic to take apart without specialty tools? Do they require tension etc? Thanks.

I purchased a secondary clutch compressor from SLP years ago. Works good for my button clutch on the 99 500, the team tss04, and worked on the team tss98 that my 04 had. If you have a button clutch, you can get creative with a piece of all-thread to compress the spring. You also need a snap ring pliers to get the snap ring off to get to the springs. First clutch is always overwhelming! Keep asking and we'll keep helping!

So evidently when I loosened the secondary clutch to remove the belt and clean the clutch I pinched the belt when putting it back on. Once this was pulled out the clutch snapped back together and seemed to run normally.

Thanks for the help!
