I am trying to put a head off of a newer (2003-2006) HO 800 on my 2002 Summit Highmark. I know that somone here has to have done this before. I am having a real hard time finding a reducer bushing to make the smaller temp sensor fit. What is the acuall size of the treads? I know that the sensor is 1/8 and the head has threads that are smaller then 1/4 so I know it must be metric. what have some of you done to make this work, can I get a 2003 or newer temp sensor and change the wire ends or what do I do? I could drill the head out and retap it for 1/4 and then use a bushing that I have found but really dont want to do that. Need help, thanks
