2003 edge(prox) 600cc overheat, sirculation trouble.

Hi!
This is my first post here, and ironic enought it's about my friends sled:face-icon-small-sho
He is running a 2003 600cc engine that overheats, seems to be a sirculation problem.

What i know:
The impeller is good(we have opened and checked)
The radiators is ice cold, no sirculation here.
The thermostat is removed so it's not blocking sirculation.
The water hoses to and from the engine gets hot.

I read about some trouble with the 02 model water bottle, i dont know if this might cause this problem?

Someone also recomended replaceing the head-gaskets, what do you think about this?

If anyone have a good way to toubleshoot this, please let me know :face-icon-small-hap

I do not beleive the coolant lines can be hot to and from the engine with out going through the coolers. No circulation usually means bad water oump belt(if belt driven) which also mean's no oil, or air in the system. water bottle i doubt it i have ran with no cap all day with no issues well i had a peice of tape on it.Base gaskets will not stop circulation but cause a leak in the system. Look at the other stuff first.

Thanks for the answer :)
The hoses might be warm cause of regular heat spreading, but not sure.
Not a belt driven pump.

With the gasket(O-rings), the teory is that if broken or bad; compression enters the water and "pushes" it causing the sirculation problem...

Generally if you compression going into your cooling system you will be able to see it in the bottle

Well, I will haveto put it back together, and refill for a test and se if the problem was air in the system or if i see something in the tank when the engine is running.

Cause with the impeller working, and no thermostat the water should heat the coolers without trouble as far as i know.

I'm just hope that there for some reason suddenly was an air problem :)

Merry x-mas to you all, and thank you for the help.

Ps, i guess you se the "compression" in the water tank as bubbles if the O-rings are broken?
