7 76FOMOCO Well-known member Nov 27, 2007 #2 yes to a point, you want the clutch to float just a little to stay in line with the drive clutch.
D diggerdown Well-known member Nov 27, 2007 #3 In and out, yes. 1/8 to 3/16" Slop in rotation is not so good. If you have that, try a new key. After awhile the keyways do get worn.
