2002 RMK 800 spark plugs

Recently bought a 2002 800 Rmk and love it. I went to put new plugs in it and realized it had Champion plugs, I have always run NGK plugs in my sleds. Does anybody know if it makes a difference which plugs i use. Champion plug # RN57YCC... NGK#BR9ES? Thanks for the help.

I've run both NGK BPR-9ES and the Champion equivalent that Polaris specs as OEM. The Champions seem to burn cleaner. Somewhere I have pics of NGKs next to Champions after a day of running on each, and the Champions are noticably cleaner. I run Champions when I find them, but it seems more places carry NGKs. NGKs work, but may as well run the plug that the ignition system is engineered for (or the plug that was engineered for that ignition? what came first chicken or the egg). The difference is slight, but it is there.

I always ran the NGK BPR9ES in my 02 800 and never fouled a plug. Same as what I run in my 900 and have never had an issue with NGK.:face-icon-small-hap

You can get the Champions at any auto parts store. Been using them in all our Edges 2002 to 2005 with great success.
