Just finished my 04 Escape project and had it out for the first time yesterday at Copper Creek and it was a success so up for sale is my 2000 Polaris Gen II with PSI Genesis 890 motor and 151 track. Some extras include fabcraft handle bars and SLP Powder Pro skiis which have both been added since the photo was taken, and brand new hyperfax this year with one ride. Carbs are Mikuni 40 MM rack carbs. This is the 890 Genesis motor and not the 890 top end kit. The photo of the 890 motor is when it was my spare motor for a PSI 1080 that i had in the sled untill last year when the crank let go. I put the 890 back in last spring and it has run perfect without any issues of any kind.

Just had this out at Copper Creek two weeks ago and it ran great. If you would like to see video of it running last year please see attached link and see videos under go high fast. All video is with the 890 motor. I had the video camera with me 2 weeks ago but got carried away riding and never fired up the camera.

Price is firm at $2,500. Have 3 sleds now and looking to sell this one. Private Message me if you have questions or would like addtional information.

Thanks, Dick

I ride with GHF, and this sled really does rock... been on it a couple times myself... the engine alone is worth what he is asking for the whole sled! One solid machine. And that motor, sweet sweet ride. Pull-and-go reliable too.

Whoever buys this will not regret it! But if you don't buy it you will regret it for sure. :face-icon-small-win

Is that the 890 that I rode up there a year or two ago? It ran sweet. Pulled HARD.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

New price is $2,550 :face-icon-small-hap. Just kidding.

Its a great spring hot rod that's for sure. Yes Scott this is the sled you rode last year at lake bowl the day we had all the rain and we all came home soaked to the core.

WHAT TRACK AND TUNNEL IS IT A 151

how many miles on chassis, how many miles on motor, how many hp

Here's what I know about the motor. It was purchased direct from PSi by the original owner in April of 2001 for $4,300.00. I am the second owner. The TM-40 rack carbs were pruchased from Crazy Mtn Extreme by the orginal owner in January of 2002 for $525.00. They are bored to 40.5 mm. I have the original paperwork as well as the orginal PSI Genesis Performance Manual.

I bought it in the fall of 2003 with about 500 miles on it and ran it for 2 seasons before going to a PSI 1085 in August of 2005. I would have put less than 500 miles on it in the two seasons. The 890 went back in for last season and this season. Last year I had it out maybe 3 times and this year have had it out only 1 time. I have put less than 200 miles on it over the last 2 seasons. So I estimate the mileage on the motor to be less than 1500.

I haven't had a chance to check the mileage on the chasis since your question but i will find out and let you know.

The track is a camoplast challenger 151 fully clipped with no missing lugs.

The motor is the PSI/RAD 76mm stroker crank with the 86mm pistons built on the PSI crankcase. Also included is the ignition and the PSI motor plate. I have never adjusted the dial-a-dome heads because I dont want to risk damage to a seal. Estimated HP on the 890 is 185. It is my understanding the bottom end is fully compatible with both the 990 and 1085 jugs but you should check and confirm this for yourself.

Chasis is stock Gen II with a second SLP supplemental/auxillary cooler in the rear along with some of the other items mentioned above. Right now i have an annoying leak in the chain case that I have not yet had the time to fix. I do not have the Gen II airbox as I have always run the air pods. Chasis includes lights, speedo, tach, temp gauge and handle bars have all stock controls including hand and thumb warmers. It does not come with a cover. Basically the thing is a beast....check out the videos.

I am the orginal purchaser of this 890 from PSI, Dick is the gentleman that purchased it, was a strong running engine when I had it and it has not disapointed Dick during his owner ship.

do you think it would be a decent wife sled

she is tall 5'11", is it hard to steer when not under the throttle, ie front end heavy, my bro has a 2001 with a 159, twin jaws bored carbs, but he said it takes a lot of shoulder muscle to maneuver.

No not hard to steer when not on the gas. This is the second gen II chasis I have owned and I have not experienced that problem with either one. A problem like that is sometimes due to the ski. For instance on my Edge chasis I had the SLP Tri Keel skiis on for a couple of rides and the steering coming down hill was a wrestling match. When I popped on the Powder Pros it was a dream.

Also if the sled if for a "she" you want to make sure she is OK with the noise. PSI is known for many things but quiet twin pipes on thier Genesis motors is not one of them. I wear ear plugs when I ride. The compression especially when cold is also much different than a stock 800 so pulling it over is a two hand deal.

One last thing. Keep in mind the carbs are not your stock center-to-center. They are slightly bigger to fit the Genesis motor. As a result it is set up with air pods and not the stock airbox so it may not be the best setup for deep powder......spring sledding.....it's a beauty.

Thanks, Dick

Nah, its just a little 860.

Maybe you should sell the motor for 2000 and part the rest out... make more money that way, sadly.

This sled is SOOOO worth the money.
