2000 Summit 700 Primary Clutch Bolt Torque

What should this be and does it need loctite?

I believe it is 70ft/lbs no locktite and re-torque after first ride. Any body second that.

The Doo manual says torque to 77 ftlbs then install the belt, with the track off the floor rev the engine to 5 or 6 thousand then grab the brake, do that 3 times to set the pulley on the crank, shut the engine off back off the clutch bolt to 45 ftlbs then retorque to 70ftlbs. I know it sounds like a lot of monkeying around but that is what the manuals have said for years. I always do it this way and I have never had any trouble with loose clutch bolts or pulleys.

Check it every year, pre-season. Mine went loose 2nd year an ruined the clutch. Glad I bought the extended warranty that time! The mechanic told me then it was still a problem and just test it with a torque wrench every year.
