I'm thinking of switching to 5w30 or 15w40 synthetic motor oil when my stash of chaincase oil is gone, Mobil 1 goes for $5 a quart instead of $10 for 12 oz from BRP, I have been using it in my pickup chaincase for many years with no problem and I lot less noise from the chain, sorry for hijacking the thread.
