You should be able to find a mountain cat 600 motor mount/jackshaft bracket. It would need to be an '03 or '04 1M 600 bracket. Not sure anything else used that. Part number is 0708-404Got the chain case headed in the right direction. Found out my torque plate from the 99 was the wrong height. Guess the mountain cats has a rolled chaincase. Changes height. So found the original plate it came with. Going to graft on the motor mount portion. But the bearing is probably 2 inches lower? But along with that. Motor is mocked up. Steering is done. Scored a gas caddy and the mounts. Made up some adapter plates so I don't poke a hole through my heat exchangers. Turned out pretty slick. Gaining on things.
Snap dang the motor is from a 2000 wonder if that part number would have been what I needed. It fits up nice now tho. But maybe for the future I can hunt one down. Eventually I bet I'll build somthing nasty for it on the bench and this 600 will be what it has for the time being. You should be able to find a mountain cat 600 motor mount/jackshaft bracket. (I had a previous version of this post that was wrong, thinking you were using an '01/'02 tunnel, not an '03. They are different)
Yup, the 2000 600 motor isn't that much different from the 03, at least the crankcase. The top end is different, but the mounting is the same.Snap dang the motor is from a 2000 wonder if that part number would have been what I needed. It fits up nice now tho.
