2000 700 lost compresion rebuilt and cant get to start

The sled lost compression so we put new pistons and ring and
gaskets in it has lots of compression now but cant get to start up
it back fires every 5-6 pull is there a secret to this or something else
thanks oh the sled is a 2000 700 highmark and we went with spi pistons

maybe try to put a little gas in the cylinders, then give it a try. I think those fuel pumps were vaccuum operated (at least my zx was). I had to get a little vaccuum sucking fuel before it would start on its own

Check your reed vavles if they looked cracked or the rubbler is starting to rip, you should put new reeds vavles. I have a 02 summit 800 and it didnt run for me so we put new reeds in and little later she ran.

Had the exact same problem when helping a buddy rebuild his 01 700. did a top end rebuild with SPI pistons had great compression, WOULD NOT START,same symptoms tried everything, tore it back down sent the SPI's Back and told then to cramm em down their throat put a set of oem pistons in fired on the second pull. put 300 miles on since with no problems. might just be a coincidence but seems all too familiar to me
