2 Wheel Kit Installation

So I thought this would be one of the more basic jobs I have done to my mountain cat. However it has been a complete pain in the A$$. I purchased the 2 Wheel Kit from Black Diamond Extreme and have been fiddling with it for awhile. I am trying to get the correct spacing so the wheels line up with the lugs on the inside of the track but none of the spacers off the old axle make it work, nor do the wheels line up with no spacers. When you did your 2 Wheel Kit what did YOU do to install it?

2 wheel

from the inside of rail it will be plastic piece, wheel, spacer, wheel, plastic piece. plastic piece is what your adjusters push on after you relocate them to the inside

Sorry I just noticed this was on the 1M chassis.

Yep, you simply remove everything from the old shaft.

Then put the wheels on the new shaft, they go up against the shoulder on the new shaft. Then put the plastic spacer back on the shaft. With the elongated lug on it. That will fit into the slot in your rail. Put the washer on the out side and install the bolt.

One thing to watch is. The plastic spacer has a spot for the tension bolt to push on. One side is drilled through the other isn't. You want to make sure you have the tension bolt pushing on the axle shaft. Don't have it pushing on the plastic. It will deform and your track will get loose. I also think this keeps the axle from spinning by chance if a bearing is stiff.

Anyway pretty simple job.
