I tried doing a search to find this info and I just couldnt find what I was looking for.. Maybe I am doing something wrong..:D

Anyway can anyone help me find the information what what needs to be purchased to make the 2 wheel kit for my 900.. Just looking to build one with stock parts.. Can anyone help??

Mountainhorse is the one that posted whats needed for stock years ago.
Search his posts.

I'll post it if I find it.

Must have been on the old forum.

I believe all you need is the axle and spacer from a 07.

Somebody will chirp in if I'm right or wrong.

Yea I just searched all of the threads he had started and couldnt find anything.. Anyone else know??

You'll need:
axle shaft - 5135305
wheel spacer - 5333283
spacer - 5436496 (these are the pieces on the outside, need 2)
You will need to swap rails side to side. This way the axle adjusters will be on the inside of the rail. You can reuse existing parts.

I see these are the part #'s from an 07 Dragon.. Thanks for the info.. What kind of wheels are those in the picture?

Also is the spacer just shorter?? Anyone happen to know how long it is? I could always just cut one of the ones I have here to work if that is the only difference..

I looked at buildin my own 2 wheel kit but in the end I just bought the Holz kit. For 60 bucks I think it was worth it, and you don't have to swap your rails side to side which saves time and aggrevation. I just installed mine yesterday and with a few tools it wasn't bad at all. The spacer is shorter as is the axle shaft. You could cut them but you would have to drill, tap, and heli-coil one end of the axle shaft to relocate the outside bolt and spacer. Just my 2 cents.

Great info.. Thanks.. The only reason I am considering building it with stock parts is because, $60 is a good price, but the cost of the pieces needed to make one is much less and right now, every $$ counts... If I cant find the info I need, I will probably buy one or trade something for one, but I want to try and make one first.. :D

You don't need to swap the rails either, just move the adjusters to the inside. You may have to drill out rivets and use new fasteners but it works perfect. If I remember right I used 1/4" grade 8 hardware with nylocks and a little red lock-tite to make sure they stayed put. 3 seasons, no issues whatsoever.

Thats how I did it with the Holz big wheel kit on my Edge..

Anyone happen to know how long the spacer tube is for the Dragon?

The spacer is 4 3/8" wide. I had to replace the rails, so I just swapped sides. You can just drill out the rivets and move the adjusters too. The wheels are just stock rmk.

Just use your existing wheels, That's what I did. I used the parts listed below.
I'm going to put on some 09 wheels this summer, The black spokes look badazz!!

1 ea. of #13 axle shaft #5135305
1 ea. of #12 wheel spacer #5333283
2 ea. of #8 spacer #5436496
2 ea. of #10 Bushing #7555918

#6, 7 and 9 you can reuse. Just be sure to use the tension block (#9) with the metal insert and face it so the tension bolts push onto that, instead of side that's just plastic.
I just drilled out the tension adjusters and moved them to the inside. Used 1/4"x3/4" SS bolts and 1/4" SS nylock nuts.

And the pics........I know. The last 50 yds. to the trailer after last ride was snow, mud mix. :(
