2-stroke snowmobile oil vs motorcycle oil....does it matter?

They are marketed as two separate types of oil but is there really a difference? Can they be ran interchangable? I was thinking of trying the Castrol 2T oil but can't find the snowmobile oil...only the motorcycle oil.

don't turn this into an oil debate please. I know there are better oils out there, i'm just looking for an answer to this question;)

I've ran 2 stoke sled oil in my bike and vice-versa and never had a problem either way. Honestly.

Oil

Above 15 degrees F you will have no issue as long as the motorcycle oil is suitable for injector use. The premix only stuff may not be a good idea in an oil injection system at any temp unless it has a solvent added.

ran yami 2s in my M for 5,000 miles, went to premix and now am running yami 2r, so now my sled and my banshee have something in common...

I have ran outboard oil in mine for 3 seasons.

I think its as Himark said. Cold pour point which means its got more kerosene in it, diluted a bit more. I think.;)
