2 Sleds in a 7 x ?

Thinking of going to a 7 wide trailer. Need to be able to haul 2 162 sleds. I think it can be done in a 16 long but looking for feedback from those that have done it?

I have a 7x16 legend low rider, no front drive off/on door. we put one sled in forward, and one sled in backward from the rear ramp. I have 153" m series cats now. but, this set up would accommodate a 162" pair as well. make sure you measure the inside on each trailer you are looking at... some mfgr's rate their sizing from the point of the V, some measure from the back of the V and dont include the length of the V as the length of the inside. your results may vary. I was looking on the legend site to see how much the v-nose adds to length. Looks similar to my cargo pro stealth 14'.

I noticed they only show 14' and 17' in the current legend lowrider v-nose. Do u have a diff model or older model, or does ur measurement include the v-nose?

If ur 16' measurement doesn't include the v-nose, do u think two sleds would fit if were only a 14' bed with same v config?

will 2-36" skidoos fit side by side in a 7' trailer?

No side be side they measure about 84". I actually stagger them in my 8.5' wide trailer because they are easier to walk around.

A 7 x 14 fits 2 163" sleds . . .one forward, one backwards . .with plenty of room on the sides and in between them. Just tie down good to keep em from moving during transit and rubbing on each other.

Works like a champ also for hauling 2 ATVs up to the mountains in the summer time :)

How difficult is it backing in. I know just backing out of my Triton Hybrid sometimes doesnt work so well once i get the mid point of the track at the door seem. It just spins if its wet at all!

Looking at the Charmac 18 Escape. It has a front door but is a 14ft box with a 4ft V. Dealer says to drive in front and out back.

Is that a 7x14 without a V at all?

I measured my H&H 7 x 14 today That I use for wok and the inside width is 81"

I have a 7x19 (14' deck plus a 5' V)

It fits (2) 153s driving them in from the rear pretty easily

I don't think 162s would be an issue at all.

Maybe (2) 174s would force me to drive in from the front

You can also easily back in with the low deck height of these trailers

I think you could fit two of the 162's into the 18' Escape. It would be snug, but I think it could be done.

I just recently took delivery on a 20' Escape and I have LOTS of room with one 144 and one 155 inside. The 20' has a 14'10" box with a 4'7" V (19'5" inside). I looked at the 18' Escape they had available onsite, but I am glad I went with the 20' on my order. It was worth the extra couple $ for the extra space...

Today at the trail head I saw a single axle 7x12+18" V cargo trailer with 2 163 Axis Poo's in it in the 69 configuration. Talked to the guy and he loves it. Uses it for his SxS in the summer as well. He still had a few inches to spare front and back. Was tight side to side but it worked for him.

Mine is a 7x 20 with a 5 foot v nose. Put 4 163's in there all the time. Load all 4 in the front door facing backwards.

I have a 7x16 and hall 2 155s with lots of room to spare for gear. Actually thinking of down sizing to a 7x14. I bought the 16' hoping to shoe horn 3 155s in it but I don't see that happening. So thinking of down sizing and keeping the sled deck also so I can hall 3-4 sleds with out having to pull my bigger 8.5x24 trailer.

7 x 14 deck with 18" v-nose is the one i have now. Had a 6x14 (no v-nose) before this and it also would fit 2- 163" sleds (polaris) one frontwards and one backwards. It was tight though. The 7x14 has tons more room.

I just stagger two sleds in my 7' trailer with no drive off, both head first. First one all the way to the front and it can be a 174, second one as far as it can go and with a 154 there's plenty of room. Lots of storage room left. 6'3" head room, full end door ramp, drive em in shut em off, done. No ramps, covers, tie downs. Best method to haul 2 sleds, and I've had em all.

the legend low rider is 16' end of door to v (low rider is total length inc V).

the sled trailers from legend are measured without the V length included in the listed length. ie: 18' explorer/trailmaster is actually 18' box, 5' V, total lenth 23' box to v.

yes, it is a pain in the *** to back, drag one in backward without a drive on/off door but, I don't have a front door to leak into the trailer, either. it's a trade off.

the low rider is very low approach angle on the rear door, (hence the name). it makes it easier to load and unload than "normal" deck over frame trailers, with a higher approach angle.

Great info, thanks. What made you decide on the lowrider? Do you happen to know the difference between Deluxe, Explorer, and FT? You have the 7X17LRTA35?

How long is your 7' trailer?
