2" Riser Problem on 2012 Pro-RMK

Installed 2" riser tonight. When I turn full right, as I approch the stop, it starts to RPM up, and then a bit more turn kills the engine.

Saw lots on here about 2" and 4" risers "without problem", and I'm a bit surprised. Seems to be pulling the throttle cable VERY tight with my riser, so I removed it, but wondering what those of you that installed one did.

Thanks much!
Jay

I've got a 4" on my 2012 Pro

I still have tons of slack left over also...

Make sure the line isn't snagged or zip tied somewhere.

There's plenty of cable, you've just got it tied up someplace

Also make sure you've got a tiny bit of slack in your throttle cable when you pretty the throttle, before it actuates the fuel injection

Thanks. That's what I thought. Must be something under-hood. I leave in the AM for Cooke, so I might have to see what I can do up there. I'll have to pull the hood and see what's up.

Ya I'm pretty positive I clipped a zip tie for the throttle cable but I can't remember exactly.

It take a couple minutes to pop the hood off the first time....

Take off the two screws and plate by the steering stem, the two tabs on both side of the hood and then pop the hood up and remove the electrical connector.

When putting it back on make sure that lip goes on first, re attach the harness from the hood to the sled, and make sure it connects, it'll click. And there's two rubbers on either side of the front of the hood that will likely be folded over, make sure those are back in place or the hood won't want to go back on right

It's easy if you just do it
