I just got my 2015 kit, and there is less clearance at the top of the track at the idler wheels.. Has anyone put a 2.3" track on the new kit yet to know if it still fits?

This is my biggest question with the 2015 kits. I love my 2.5" track on the first generation kit.
not likely its gonna fit, the paddles are less then 1/4" below the frame where it comes over the wheels on 15 kit. and smaller wheels arent really an option, they barely clear the shock linkage. they are about as small as they can be. Timbersled did a good job of sucking up the extra slack on the new kits, not so much room for bigger stuff.

There is also the clearance at the front to the motorcycle frame to look at. Isn't the drive shaft further up and forward?
On my older kit I rub the bumper, too. I'd guess the new kits address that.

Yep they are trading deep snow performance for trail handling manners. Not for me. I have been told by people that rode with prototypes that the older kits height is an advantage off trail as well.
I highly doubt that . The new attack angle on the rails and changing the driver size to tuck the track closer to the bike was not so we can all cruise around on groomer trails.

That was a uninformed statement the geometry change improves handling period better all around. More weight biased on the track does wonder in the pow and lower ride hight more rake on the fork improves trail stability.
